Flights from Dublin to Brussels
The two major Irish airlines Aer Lingus and Ryanair compete heavily on low cost airfares to Brussels. However since Aer Lingus flies into Brussels Airport (2 km from Brussels centre), it is slightly more convenient than Ryanair, which arrives at Charleroi Airport (36 km from the centre of Brussels).
There are daily direct flights to Brussels that arrive at Brussels Airport. Although airfares are cheap, be prepared to pay for extras such as check-in baggage for shorthaul flights from Brussels.
Ryanair flights operate from both Brussels Zaventem Airport and Brussels South Charleroi Airport. Charleroi is a 1 hour journey to/from the centre of Brussels. Similar to Aer Lingus, there are extra charges for check-in baggage and refreshments. The main advantage of Ryanair is there are twice as many flights available to Brussels as Aer Lingus.
There are currently no direct flights from Dublin to Brussels. An alternative route is to fly from Dublin to London with Aer Lingus, Ryanair then travelling to Brussels with Brussels Airlines.
Although not the cheapest option, British Airways has routes from Dublin to London Heathrow and from Heathrow to Brussels Airport.
There is a connection from Dublin to Brussels via London Heathrow airport that lands at Brussels Airport. Price is reasonable.
This budget airline has a flight from Dublin to Amsterdam. From there you can take the train to Brussels-Midi station or fly with KLM to Brussels Airport.
This executive class airline has its hub in London City airport. From Dublin you will need to travel from London City airport to one of the other airports to take a flight or take the Eurostar to Brussels.
This Romanian airline has a direct flight from London Stansted to Brussels Airport. From Dublin fly to London and then go from London Stansted to Brussels Airport.
